Dr. Morten Haugland

Dr. Morten Haugland, owner and CEO of Haugland Consulting, has more than 13 years experience serving children with special needs. He completed his Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Northern Michigan University and holds a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology from St. Cloud State University.  He received his Ph.D. and a second Masters Degree in ABA and Special Education from The Ohio State University in 2000. Dr. Haugland holds a national certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He is frequently asked to present locally, nationally and even internationally as an expert in behavior analysis.
Dr. Morten Haugland served as a full time faculty member in the education department at Otterbein College until summer of 2004. At that time he decided to dedicate all his time to serving families with special needs. He maintains contact with academia as a part time lecturer at The Ohio State University and through annual seminars at the University of Oslo, Norway. He also continues to present at the Annual Convention for Behavioral Analysis which hosts more than 4000 behavior analysts every Memorial weekend.

 

Dr. Morten Haugland has operated this consulting practice since July of 2000, first as a part time operation and then full time since summer of 2004. The business was registered as a corporation in the spring of 2006. Haugland Consulting, LLC is a 50-50 partnership between Dr. Morten Haugland and his wife Kristine Haugland. Kristine is currently finishing her Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education from The Ohio State. She has more than 10 years of experience teaching students with special needs. She will join the consulting firm full time after graduation focusing on curriculum development and research. Serving families with special needs has become a way of life for the Haugland family.
